Job Description:
The Sales Reconciliation Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of sales data across a network of stores. This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of retail operations. The Sales Reconciliation Specialist will be responsible for reconciling daily sales transactions, ensuring that physical sales records match the data recorded in the store management system.
Responsibilities:
- Retrieve and compile daily sales reports from each store location.
- Compare physical sales records (e.g., cash register tapes, lottery reports) with the data recorded in C Store Pro.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between physical and system-recorded sales.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, patterns, and potential errors.
- Ensure accurate mapping of products and categories in C Store Pro to prevent reporting discrepancies.
- Reconcile lottery sales, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of lottery transactions.
- Maintain detailed records of all reconciliation activities and findings.
- Prepare and submit daily sales reconciliation reports to management.
Pricebook Management:
- Create and maintain accurate price books across all sales channels (online, in-store, etc.).
- Implement and track promotional pricing and discounts.
- Ensure price accuracy and consistency across all systems.
- Ensure that price markups are maintained across all product lines.
- Ensure that contracted vendor pricing is accurately implemented across all stores.
- Analyze price competitiveness and make recommendations for adjustments.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 1-2 years of experience in a retail environment with a focus on sales reconciliation or accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of retail operations and POS systems.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
